I would love for Spez to make the team, and I know he would love to make the team... but the idea of him going to Russia healthy, and coming back hurt, scares me a bit.

As a sens fan would love to see Spezza there. As a fan cheering for Canada, I'd rather RNH there. Kid is just better, hate to say it but it's true.

Do you see some of the people ranked ahead of him? Joke list I think.

It doesn't matter...we've already seen in the past that he will not get a fair shake with HC. Time to move on and allow him to rest and drive this team forward.

Even the biggest Spezza fan has to concede that he is not going to beat out any of the 4 centers, and he can't play wing or defense.

Tough break.

At this point Spezza doesn't deserve to be there over any of the other Canadian centers. Everyone else scores just as much, but without the glaring defensive shortcomings Spezza's exhibited so far this year.

And I'm saying this as someone who was outraged when he was left off the list of original camp invites, and who has until this year considered him a top 5 center in the NHL.

To be one of the top 4 in the Olympics you have to CONSISTANTLY be a threat to score and be able to shutdown the best players. Not sure the Spez is there.

Spezza has the skill and scoring touch but his defensive game is meh at best.
Too many times he makes the wrong decision or just a lazy stick swing or hook instead of moving his feet and defending with energy.

He could make it, but likely as a taxi squad or sub if someone gets injured.

RNH can't play in his own end. Makes Spezza look like Bergeron.

I was hoping he'd make it, as it's really his last shot at ever participating in the olympics. I find I care more about olympic hockey when sens players are involved

Is this a joke? He isn't nearly as good as Spezza right now in overall game.
