not Mrazek's fault
Yeah, I'm quite happy with two goals against, and neither one of them soft. He needed to be a lot better tonight and he was. Good for him. We played a good game but made a bad change and ran into a hot goalie, but were competitive all game against one of the league's best teams, on a back to back to boot.

You're not gonna win every game, and I think we can still walk out of this one with heads held high. 4-1-1 is still a pretty nice record.

I'm impressed with how well this team appears to be this year. Most games, we outplayed someone like that and get that many quality chances and we net at least 4. Not gonna win them all, but man we couldn't look better in a loss against a really good team. We had a road back to back and they were at home and rested. And we more than held our own.

Guys, this might be that season we've been waiting for.

That is a loss I can accept.

It's a tough one to swallow, but from what I saw we seemed to outplay (or at least evenly play) and certainly heavily outshot one of the better teams in the league on their own ice, on a long road trip. Sucks to not get that point, but in an 82-game schedule, sometimes it just isn't in the cards.

To me the key here is that everyone keeps his head up, continues to play their game, and doesn't let this snowball into a slide. Go out and take it to the Lightning on Tuesday, then get back home and look forward to three days of rest, a couple of relatively soft games, and then three more days of rest. We'll be no worse than hockey-.500 by the 25th, and could be as good as 6-1-1. Keep the positive momentum going and don't let this one game derail it.
