Can't you just come to terms that we won't make the playoffs? lol

You sound so ridiculous: " Well we can still make the playoffs but the NHL has to allow us 3 points for a win and give us three redo games."

Dude, playoffs are over. Come to terms with it.

Not sure you understand my post.

I’m too lazy to compile but would love to see his Dec to March 2019 + his late mid december to now numbers. He has basically had 1 bad month, 1 mediocre month and 5 lights out months.

LG - good on you for never losing perspective on how good Price has really been. Still top 1-3 in the world, playing behind one top pair and an endless bunch of bottom pair dmen.
All you have to do is pull up the vids to see it.

Hockey is a game of mistakes. Goalies can do a lot to mitigate them. But if you have scrubs on one side for the whole 60 minutes every night, eventually it catches up.

To be a fly on the wall at a meeting between Price and Bergevin. If Price has asked for a trade, I wonder how and when Bergevin will react...

He's not the problem this year , the team is built to only work if everyone is healthy and producing as expected (i.e: not having a down year). Even at that we are at best a wild card team if everything goes right , talk about lofty expectations!

The fact that he is the guy facing the most shots is that the Habs can't have a decent backup and he is left to himself too often. He has his flaws (consistency), but how much support does he gets on the ice... ?? ouch! (Lately, he's ON though). In Boston, absolutely can't blame him for anything!

Price deserves better. Shut him down for the season, let him spend time with his family, give him time to get into incredible shape, keep him practicing with the team, and next season get him SOME HELP ON DEFENSE FFS. This is ridiculous, we’re risking injury on a completely lost season, playing him back to back FFS. Stop just stop.

Price will start every game from here on until one of the following happens....

1 - we are mathematically eliminated from the playoffs
2 - Price gets injured

It was the same thing near the end of last season, when eventually #1 happened

Carey Price needs to step up his game. He's .910 SV% over the last 3 seasons is not good enough for a #1 goalie, let alone the best goalie in the world.

Backup goalies always gets the best of him in head to head (based on SV% in each game). The last few games were do or die, this is the time we needed him the most and he didn't deliver. He won't get any better. Unacceptable, I can't get why people still think that we should keep a 10.5M goalie that can't help us win games. I just hope he asks for a trade, he will get a better chance to win the Cup elsewhere, since we won't be competitive for the next 2-3 years.

What this team needs is top elite talent which you draft in the top 3 to 5 or by trading a player like Price when his value was at it's highest. 2 things this team doesn't do. Yeah I know KK.
I'm all for dealing vets for picks when it makes sense - like now.

But there are windows along the way where you build around what you have. We had every opportunity to do this and didn't. Re-signing Price is fine IF you actually build something. If you don't then you're wasting your time.

At this point we need to unload a bunch of players and start over. No argument there. But it didn't need to be this way. We've wasted years with this GM.

Re-signing Price in 2017-2018, one year before his contract ran out, when Price played 49 games, had a GAA of 3.00 and SV% of .900 and a record of 16-26-7 at 30 years old was stupid.

He was signed before then. He came in 3rd in Vezina and we signed him right before letting Markov and Radulov go.

And no, it's not stupid to sign a star player when he's got a year left on his deal. That's typically the way it works. If you didn't do it that way, you'd be risking the player getting into a Tavares situation.

Price had a bad year and was often injured the previous few years.
Terrible contract.

Terrible contract.
He was signed on July 2nd 2017. Right after coming in 3rd in Vezina. He was universally regarded as the best goalie in the league.

And after signing him... we immediately let Markov and Radulov go.

Notice that in the 2017-18 season he played without Weber and got crushed.
Last year he was sub 900 until Weber came back and finished at .918.
This year he's been up and down numbers wise. When we got Scandella he went .936 onward. Then Weber got hurt and now he's sub .900 since.

Do you not see the pattern here?

When he gets help, his numbers are .920 plus. Without help, he drowns.

We signed him for 10 mil and then put him behind AHL D. THAT was stupid.

I would understand giving him an extension if he was 27 even 28, but a 8 years 10.5mil at 30 years old with injuries and concussion history, not smart. Can you imagine waiting a few more months and realizing he's hurt again playing only 49 games, things would have been much better for the team.
