I'm surprised people are still going on about that trade given what Nyquist, also with full trade protection, just went for. Carolina traded him for the best offer from a team he wanted to play for. He should have been kept as an own rental, but HF has gone overboard with his valuation.

Why not just trade them for each other?

Jurco is on an AHL contract. He's technically not on the Florida Panthers so they can't trade him.
