Not at all. They're really close. Dubois was much more of an off-the-board pick and look how that worked out. In Carolina's case, Zadina should be the pick. Already has great chemistry with Necas.

Svechnikov is bigger, a superior skater, had better numbers, and is younger.

He’s clearly the better prospect.

So they should pick Zadina over Svechnikov because of his “chemistry” with Necas (who isn’t even a solidified NHL player), even though Svechnikov is clearly the better prospect?

That’d be really dumb.

Gotta be Svechnikov at #2. Zadnia has all the tools for an excellent NHL career. Svechnikov just has more, and they are shinier. This kid is going to be the game changing forward Carolina wants/needs. Good luck to get their as of now nonexistent GM to trade that pick away
