Canes need a 1C and starting goalie. What say you? Is this draft deep enough. Can they command a hefty return?!!

Exactly what they should be doing. They’ll take Svechnikov and try to sign Tavares
Absolutely zero chance any of young, nhl studs is dealt for #2 overall.Wonder be traded under any circumstance I'd imagine unless its for McDavid, Matthews, Eichel, or Barzal.
I hope soZadina imo will be there guy

Svechnikov is bigger, a superior skater, had better numbers, and is younger. Not at all. They're really close. Dubois was much more of an off-the-board pick and look how that worked out. In Carolina's case, Zadina should be the pick. Already has great chemistry with Necas.

Having a productive player on ELC is worth more than any return in this era. Trade surplus from other areas to fill holes.

He’s clearly the better prospect.
Zadina playing better than Svechnikov at the WJC is causing some people to overrate him
So they should pick Zadina over Svechnikov because of his “chemistry” with Necas (who isn’t even a solidified NHL player), even though Svechnikov is clearly the better prospect? The Canes know that Zadina already has chemistry with Necas, which could help his development. Again, look at the Dubois pick. Zadina is a better fit for the Canes imo.
