You say Fehervary is a few years away from challenging for a spot, yet the Caps head scout recently said he thought Fehervary was good enough to play for the Capitals last season.

Low. There are guys better than him and AHL development with plenty of minutes is what could be best for him for the time being.

It's certainly not impossible, but I also wouldn't be on it given the amount of depth the Capitals have competing for defense spots. I have to think getting beaten on the goals last night will indicate to the coaches that he may need some additional polish in Hershey.

Protas and McMichael starting the year out strong according to my boxscore watching.

CMM went 1+1 in his first game and scored again in his second. Feels noteworthy to mention he put 9 shots on net in the second game.
AP scored a goal in his first game and had a primary on the games only goal in his second.
