He might be just a bit overworked currently. He has been playing a heavy minutes. And caps are playing almost every other day.

That’s how Quick plays. It’s why he dominated when he dominated, and why he got shredded during his poor seasons. He plays the angles aggressively, and has that down low lean. He’s pretty much responsible for the RVH trend around the NHL.

He’s had some pretty good West coast swings before. First career hat trick was a 3-2 OT win vs Anaheim (in case it wasn’t obvious he scored all 3 Caps goals). He had a hat trick in 5 minutes vs the Kings once. This year doesn’t seem to match up to that history.

Two really promising looking chances, zero shots. I’ll chalk it up to Kings hustling to negate them. Didnt help that an ice official collided with other forward on the initial 2-on-1

Wilson's main flaw offensively is that he takes too long to make a decision with the puck. Whether it's to pass or shoot, he always looks like he's not ready and he often gets poke checked or stick checked
