The picture of Norris all crushed and slumped holding his shoulder as he blew out his shoulder again (his 3rd total) last year is still fresh in my mind. Having said that, if he is structurally sound and medically cleared, it's a matter of time before he contributes offensively. He can still skate like the wind and back check, he is a smart hockey player.

Just not sure if either of Norris' current linemates (Batherson or Kubalik) are capable of helping him with faceoffs. The old school have your best face-off guy win the faceoff and switch with the actual centre is no longer much used in the game that is faster and the competition much stronger than in the past. Both Giroux and Tkachuk are wingers, and we don't need the line get stuck with no centres should the other team win. Or be stuck with Norris being on bench while Kastelic or Chartier plays his minutes.

Which is where, temporarily as I like Line1 Tka-Stu-G chemistry-dominance, I would like to put Tkachuk with old mates Norris and Batherson. Tkachuk can take face offs and has chemistry with this pair as well. Until Norris is taking face offs. Kubalik may not be the worst idea with Stu and G as proven by his track record of scoring with good linemates/line drivers who can make plays.

Kubalik*-Stutzle-Giroux
Tkachuk-Norris-Batherson
Joseph-Greig-Tarasenko
Kelly-Kastelic-McEwwwwen

*Pump and dump in trade should he start to produce immediately, as he has no term as a complementary goal scorer likely making him more attractive to MJ/Brann to make space for Pinto.

@bert said he wasn't "remotely" close to returning just a few days ago, according to someone close to the team and players.
oh here he is, I said that weeks ago when I was right didnt hear shit from you. You never answer the bell when you're wrong but call people out all the time. I actually had a post yesterday saying it was a mental issue and I got that information from the same person that told me he was injured this summer. Try and keep up.

These are the games the Sens are the last few years would lose with a wet fart instead of making a statement. So let's change that dialogue.*

Why isn't this on TSN ?

Why is Sportsnet covering this one? I thought TSN has our games ...?

You said it on Friday. And I'm happy to "answer the bell" whenever I'm wrong, whatever the f*** that means exactly.

Is it? I'm pretty sure we played the Caps at home last season around this time of the season and utterly dominated them.

Edit: Looked it up. We beat them 5-2, outshooting them 44-24 on October 20th.

Called the Norris situation last year and you never responded. Everyone see's right through you.

Goaltending was good that game but they did dominate on the score sheet.

Any word on the lineup?

I'm thinking this if Kastelic is sitting.

Tkachuk - Stü - Giroux
Kubalik - Norris - Batherson
Tarasenko - Greig - Joseph
Kelly - Chartier - MacEwen

Chychrun - Chabot
Sanderson - Zub
Brannstrom - Hamonic

Forsberg
Korpisalo

That looks like a really solid line to me...
