We need him to be a good player. Right now he is not, might as well be an AHL callup with energy. He needs to watch the game and do some visualization. Injury likely but there's a clear mental aspect to this.

Carlson didn't whiff. He made the lamest of soft, sitting-duck passes cross-ice toward 92. It was picked off easily and converted easily into ENG.

Killed a great possession sequence too.

The forward depth is non-existent.

Sanford/Barber/whoever add very little.

If their strategy is "keep everyone healthy through four rounds of playoff hockey"---it won't work.

Ahaha, Ovi and Carlson "at their best" there.

Frustrating game, for sure, in so many ways. Secondary scoring has really taken a hit with Oshie & Bura out, and so has the 1st & 3rd line chemistry.

But... have to take into account the back-to-back.. let's see what happens in the next game...
