This is messed up. It's OK to rag on Bowey but what is he supposed to do there? His D partner is 75 feet away up the ice and he is getting forechecked. He literally has no play.
He could have EASILY put the puck up the boards but he decided to hold on for too long. Everyone was where they are suppose to be on the breakout, he just screwed up .

I have been arguing about this for awhile. Been saying when his partner has the puck in the right corner Orpik is always standing near the left face off circle. Boweys options were to nforceca stupid pass or eat it. That is unacceptable. Orpik is a veteran. He should know better. Come Orpik, your partner is a rookie, help him out.

Why oh why do we take bad penalties? Ugh, hate to harp on it, but I really blame Trotz for the lack of discipline on this team.

Orpik is good for 3 things

- cross check players into holtby after getting beaten 1 on 1
- cross check opposing players into the boards and earn penalties on nothing plays
- leave his partners out to dry then do a flyby and swat the puck into our net

It's sickening that Ovechkin and Backstrom's primes were wasted carrying 55 and 44. If Trotz is so thirsty for him play him on 4th line LW where his damage could be minimized

That was a dive by Aho. He felt Wilson's stick on his leg and shot out his skate underneath him, in the opposite direction it would have moved if Wilson was applying any pressure
