Our defense goes as our offense goes. When the "unable to string 3 passes together" Caps take over the game, it puts tremendous pressure on any defense and allows the opponent to get more aggressive offensively.

Yeah Bowey screwed up royally but he also had no support for a pass. We really have no appreciable short passing game.

I have been saying that Orpik isn't supporting Bowey in the transition game and it happened again.

Beagle really has a knack for blowing grade A chances. Doesn't have his stick on the ice on that first pass across the crease. Then can't get the next one off.

This is messed up. It's OK to rag on Bowey but what is he supposed to do there? His D partner is 75 feet away up the ice and he is getting forechecked. He literally has no play.

Now they started pressing. Before they were completely outplayed. Carolina had forechecked like crazy and earned their goals. We didn't. One plus of being down is to see some forecheck from us and some kind of pressure.
