I disagree that it's worth debating or trying to find praise for a D corps that sucks overall. I'd rather not waste my time arguing about the varying levels of suck. Marginal uptick from crap to just bad? Waste of time.

It's not about praise. If they are even a half a goal against better per game, that's a huge difference over the next few weeks. And it makes a difference to a goalie.

In the end you and I agree... Halak is the difference, but I think maximizing what we have matters.
