I hope the game is out of hand in our favor early so I can go to bed. I hate these west trips.

I'm totally going to stay up past my bedtime to watch this.

Oilers won their last game vs Tampa and didn't suck in the process.

Back in the 2011-12 season a game in Edmonton (I believe) marked the begining of the end of the Boudreau era.

Caps started the season 7-0 and were in Edmonton to take on an oiler team that seemed to be on the rise.

The Caps saw the Oilers get some rediculous 9 straight power plays after they took a 1-0 lead. The Oil scored 2 5-3 PP goals in the 2nd period.

One was a result of Hendricks gettting hauled down and the ref calling him for diving...this after the Oilers were awarded PP after PP.

The Caps got a couple PP in the 3rd to make the game numbers look respectable and they DOMINATED 5 on 5 play.

EDIT: I was vaguely close at least:

Despite the horrendous penalty disparity the Caps outshot them something like 38 to 20 and it took a super human effort from Khabibulin to win the Oil that game.

We went on a slide and never could fully recover leading the BBs ousting and opened the era of HunterHockey then Oates.

I sneaked into the Oliers board and they are complaining about rookie head coach, stubborness and management thinking they are smarter than anyone...

5-2 Capitals.

I'm feeling a wide open game, lots of room for our skill guys and lots of shooting lanes for OV, the Oilers D is so out of sync and undisciplined that they just look like a mess in their zone. Hoping for a blowout tonight, but you never know that beat Tampa the other night.
