it wasnt a legal hit , Mcnabb jumped, he left the ice, he threw an elbow to the face on purpose and about three other things were illegal about,

Wilson made one cheap hit, but it was retaliation for several illegal hits that weren't called including repeatedly going after oshies knees, orlov getting punched in the face , multiple late hits on ovie and kuznetzov, and about 5 things that reeves did.

The hit was high. deserved 2 mins and that’s it. The high hit wasn’t the reason he was hurt.

Hope he is ok. Don’t see the caps winning without him.

Stitch it up and get him back on the ice. Is the finals and it’s not his head. If it won’t risk any sort of permanent problem (it might) and it’s just pain and he can play at even 60% we need him.

Did anyone else think his wrist was SNAPPED during that injury? Looked like it.

When a player hunches down for a hip check he has to stand up at some point. This whole jumping stuff is nonsense.
McNabb did overdo it, after the initial good contact, with the face wash but that’s not what caused the injury.

Imagine these boards if people thought a significant injury to somebody's arm had anything to do with being hit in the head.

Oh, wait.

McNabb's arm rode up and should've been an elbowing penalty. Even if McNabb keeps his arm down for a 100% legal check Kuznetsov 100% still gets the same injury.

Dude, lay off the blow. We can't keep up.

The hit probably should have been a minor penalty, but that's all. There have been many minor penalties missed in this series so far, for both sides.

The fact Kuznetsov got injured has nothing to do with McNabb's intent and action.

But no problem stopping play to assess the Tom Wilson hit in game 1 and calling a minor penalty tho rt? Refs seem to conveniently "miss" a lot of penalties on Vegas.

No he doesn't since he can actually brace for the hit instead of having to contend with an elbow to the f***ing head.

Wonder if Vegas plans to land a single legal bodycheck this series or stick solely to cross checks slashes and elbows

They're such a great story that their constant attempts to injure are just le quirky underdog misfit things.

Imagine if Wilson went 15 games without trying to injure someone

He'd be booted off a team like Vegas for not fulfilling their cheapshot a period quota?

Next time Wilson does something physical other than a shoulder to shoulder bodycheck will be the first. I wonder if Vegas even knows what those are

His wrist was done by the time anything touched him in the head.

It's an illegal hit with the elbow to the head, but without any significant impact from the elbow. Should have been two minutes for elbowing, because a player is responsible for keeping his arms down when hitting.

The injury is unrelated to the illegal nature of the hit, so I don't think they can suspend.

The pretending like they don't miss calls on their opponents isn't gonna stop until the playoffs is over is it?

As it's been said, the contact came up high but there was no brunt force impact to the head. Even if that was shoulder to shoulder, the way Kuzy's arm made contact with the boards was gonna result in an injury. It's a really shitty thing to happen, and I do hope he's all right. But the OP is pretty grossly overstating the facts.

Really does put the negativity bias in perspective if you can imply that in 64 hits thrown by Vegas so far not a single one was legal.

Okay So there was contact to the head.. but didn't even warrant a stoppage of play to assess the major (even if they doled out a minor)? I mean no problem doing that immediately against the Caps in game 1 tho. Too many fishy calls going one way for the Vegas Golden Refs. Cross-check goal, self-inflicted high-stick, boarding on Oshie, interference by Karlsson (right after Wilson gets called for the same thing) etc....

If we're gonna be honest, these two games were one-sided for the Knights in terms of reffing. I mean Caps up 3-1, Vegas gets 4 consecutive PP's while committing multiple penalties and not getting called for a single one. It's not hard to see why people feel that way.
