What happened to Podkolzin talk about falling off a cliff...looked lost and SLOOWWW maybe banged up?
OEL jeesh dont know what to say other than yikes
Demko is terrible
So many bad defensive players

Loving Kyle Burroughs
Kuzmenko has some wicked skills. That pass for what should have been a tap in for Michayev was nice

Loved the leadership from Pearson Miller Horvat and as usual Schenn and Burroughs make life hell for the other team in the trenches. Joshua was a beast too

Pettersson GWG and beauty play to keep the puck in when Kuz scored and so manynice defensive plays. Huge all around game from him after a bit of a sketchy start

Michayev gets it going nice to see. Dont expect a ton of offense but he was very good in 3 zones and is going to be an important PK addition

Congrats Bruce on 600

Well this effing sucks. They get a win but got absolutely dummied by a second year Seattle team with respect to run of play. Then as sacrifice for this sh*t win, the hockey gods decide to take Miller’s ankle. That’s a broken fibula. Probably one of the worst wins. Can’t even enjoy it. This franchise is absolutely cursed.

I love the internet doctors. Lets see what they say.

This is how Myers' bedroom should look tonight:

f***ing finally.

Sometimes you paint a portrait, sometimes you paint a barn. This was the latter. Definitely not pretty, but I had a feeling it would ultimately be a game like this where they finally got it.

Hopefully they can build some actual confidence and cohesion from here and string some success together.
Normally I would agree with you but we have Pittsburgh next.

Win the special teams battle = win the game, shocker.

You can play like hot trash, but you better be able to PK and PP. Team still looks out of shape. All the bad plays, weak checks, turnovers etc, they come from gassed players. Everyone stops caring when all they can think about is the bench.

OEL is awful, wow, didn't expect this. Multiple poor clears over the last few games that lead direct to goals.

Pretty sure I could score on Demko right now.

Worst performance of the season but they win. Sports are weird.

First period was a disaster and we could have been down 4-1. Second was ok. 3rd we were hanging on for dear life.

- Kuzmenko-Pettersson-Mikheyev were like 90% of the team’s offence. Nice to see Kuzmenko finally get rewarded with a couple points. Mikheyev starting to show his two-way value.

- Horvat-Miller line stunk. Generated noting and allowed so much neutral zone space in transition.

- OEL looks absolutely cooked. So, so bad tonight. Looked worse than Brisebois and Brisebois was not good. Slow skating, slow reactions. Looked like he was 40 years old. Myers also poor and that pairing was awful.

- Burroughs-Brisebois were tragic in the first but righted the ship a bit in the last two periods. What a whirlwind month for Burroughs - he’s gone from like 8th on the depth chart at the start of camp to now playing Chris Tanev minutes babysitting an AHLer.

- Schenn was probably the only defender who legit played well.

- Demko competed through it but it’s still a struggle.

- +4 on special teams. Some of the weird small sample stuff starting to even out.

Hopefully Miller is ok and that was just a stinger.

Cam Charron was saying today that OEL would be on waivers if not for his contract and his last eight months or so have been… yeah..

Myers has looked like the far better one on that pair for a while now

Few half sober thoughts:
- OEL looks completely finished. He lost the ability to pivot and looks lazy out there
- Myers never learned how to make a pass. Only glass and out or ice it
- Podkolzin had possibly the worst game of his career
- Kuzmenko needs to just shoot sometimes. His skill flashes glimpses of Kaprizov sometimes but he can’t finish. I’ll give him until after the new year to adjust
- Petey should be PK1 forever. He understands when to be aggressive and pressure. Elite.
- Sign Burroughs to a cheap 2-3 year contract now
- Brisebois (other than one goal) looks miles better than Juulsen
- Why couldn’t we fight like this earlier? It worked and pushed the team tonight
- Still weird that Joshua refuses to engage or fight
- Hog is frustrating as hell but he’s still good enough to play. Motor is top on the team and creates havoc
- Demko is clearly off
- PP is absolute trash. Fire Jason King into the sun. I clench my butthole any time it goes back to the point with OEL there

Probably the least encouraging win that could happen. Congrats to Boudreau on his 600th career win. Now back to Vancouver to play a well rested Penguins. Studnicka will be available but maybe Miller won't? Expect Martin to start.
