Gillis has not gotten any other Centres so there is no choice. Hopefully Gillis does not keep forgetting we need another higher end centre or this will continue. Although to be fair Gillis has only had two years to fix this .

I think the only reason he was called up was because all the other center options are playing right now for Utica so they can't be called up for tomorrow's game.

exactly. nabbing santorelli and richardson for peanuts has proven more than sufficient, especially since schroeder has proven he's ready to play nhl minutes. you know why kesler is playing with the sedins for the first time in memory? it's not just torts, it's also the only time we've had the centre-depth to even try it.

I hope that once we get to a point where we can squander a few points, torts might be more lenient on handing out minutes to the kids. Absolutely need that depth balance in the playoffs (which we lacked so much in the last 3 years).
