When your bottom six is by far your best players, it usually means the Canucks are in trouble. Had to check the program to find out if Miller, Pettersson and Boeser even played. Hughes was harassed on the back-end all night long.

Sorry to say that five-on-five this team doesn't really belong on the same ice as Vegas. And if their PP falters, as it did tonight, they're really going nowhere.

Some of the Canucks smaller forwards just got manhandled and erased in this game. And it won't be an easy test in Calgary Saturday night. Looks like the long-anticipated 'correction' is underway.

Didn’t watch the game with you folks, but heard enough about PDG to hope for a lineup change

This is the Vegas team that just had the following losses in November:
-Ducks 2-4
-Caps 0-3
-Pens 0-3
-Yotes 0-2
-Flames 1-2 otl
-Oil 4-5 s/o

Looks like the Knights had some stinkeroos this month, so we're not alone. Nucks are 4-5 since losing Soucy and Suter.

Let's hope Zad can provide some needed balance/depth on D, and our uptight forwards can loosen the grip on their sticks.

Losing to Calgary on Saturday is not an option.

Vegas put in their backup goalie because the game was so easy... in a game that was for first in the conference....

Seems like old Canucks are here again. We had dominant stretches & mustered no good chances. Same thing happened against Colorado. These teams are playing their stingiest games & we are proving we aren't there.

So disappointing, they really looked to be over this early on. Maybe more change is needed.

Don't be McDavid, man.

There's no way Hill is pulled working on a SO unless he injured himself.

Oof Pettersson needs to sit. 2 goals and 6 points (mostly on the PP) in the last 11 games is unacceptable. This is about as bad as he’s ever looked. Not even looking for shot these days. Skating looks labored and can’t stay on his feet if his life depended on it. Looks just as bad if not worse than he did at the start of 2021-2022. If he’s hurt sit him. He’s providing nothing and should shoulder a good chunk of the blame for how mediocre this team has looked in the last dozen games. Also agree that his play likely has a lot to do with how ineffective his linemates have looked. He’s creating nothing.

I have no f***ing idea but there is a 0% chance that a goalie working on a shutout is pulled for rest in a 3-0 game. It's a ludicrous suggestion. He was out because something was wrong with him.

Yeah, even if there's something going on, who cares, a loss is a loss, we take it, and move on.

Just remember folks, you don't build a true contender overnight and we've got a couple more years of ups and downs before we're in that top tier.

We're not in the upper echelon yet, but with some savvy moves we'll get there.
Vegas quite literally built a contender overnight.

I'm not sure if Garland was good or bad tonight. What an odd player.
He does a lot but I’m often left wondering how much he’s accomplishing. His shot is just so weak to ever be a legitimate scoring threat in the top 6. If he made $2.5-3M he’d be a good asset on a 3rd line. Problem with being on a line with Joshua and Blueger is neither of those guys can bury the puck consistently either.

You know what fair enough. Legitimate or not, ludicrous suggestion or not, doesn't make the overall game any less embarrassing for us.
