Rodin's rehab is likely to take 6 months from reports. So, he would just be ready for camp. He might be better off returning to Sweden for the year and trying again at the NHL level in 2018.
As for the cap situation, u less Vegas takes scisba, the Canucks are going to be very tight with basically the same roster.
They've already handed out increases to markstrom and hutton of about $2 million each. Then factir in horvat by about $4 milllion, the savings from Miller and burrows will be spent.
