I can't believe how badly gillis botched the luongo/schneider goalie situation. That was the worst handled, most bizarre situation in pro sports I have ever seen.

Why would he let it fester for ~2 whole years? As soon as the problem came up, he should have eliminated it. Instead he sat on his hands for so long and ruined a chance at an extended contending window.

Gillis always struck me as arrogant and the goalie fiasco confirmed it.
