Lol sigh. If Boeser is back too soon and gets injured again there goes his trade value. All for some meaningless delusional run…..sigh….

Every single player lately has been pulling their weight. Lets hope Boeser can do the same...
Yeah hes been bad for a while. He is a player that doesnt bring much if he isnt scoring. His defensive efforts and puck retrieval in general get worse when he isnt scoring and doesnt feel motivated, and it really hurts the team. When hes on a good streak hes one of our best playmakers, but when he isnt he holds his linemates back.

Really hoping he comes in and can match Chiassons effort level and production, or I'd argue he shouldnt be put on the top PP yet.

Our schedule is pretty tough. Back to back here at home, then we play Min and CGY on the road. Lucky to split that series , especially without Bo.
Agreed. But the team put themselves in the position of pretty much having to win out by their poor play earlier on. Hopefully they rally around the loss of their captain. Also Calgary and Minnesota have less incentive to win than Vancouver. The team needs to play with the desperation of an elimination game. It’s been a fun ride. Hope they can keep it going.

Highmore was playing good hockey prior to getting hurt. Good energy, hustle, speed and smart work at both ends of the ice.

Boeser was struggling prior to his injury, IMO. Would be huge if he could come in and play like his usual self with Horvat being out.

My hot take: Podkolzin will not leave the 1st unit powerplay despite only filling in for Bo due to injury.
hope your right because that means he will have a knack for rebounds and deflections and end up net front where Chiasson has been eating minutes once Bo comes back.

We already know he's strong as F so that is a given but if he can be a good net front player that's huge and will elevate his value to this team even more

Canucks will have to play desperate hockey in this one, and Demko will need to stand on his head once again.

But that's just the reality of chasing the playoffs from behind the eight ball at this time of the year. Canucks got almost zero help on the out-town-scoreboard last night. The Kings and Stars both won, and while Vegas fell to the Oilers, as things stand they aren't in a playoff spot either.

But on a positive note, when the inevitable happens and the Canucks run out of games, at least the playoff axe likely won't fall until the last week of the schedule. And considering how the season started, that in itself makes it a 'successful' season.
