Well that was satisfying. Pretty even game, nice to eke out the win.

And this road trip basically can't go worse than 2 -1. good start to the tough stretch. Lots were predicting 1 - 3, well we just need one win against LV, Wpg and Col to make it .500 . calling it now, I think we do no worse than 2 - 1 - 1 in that 4 games. And then we have 7 more games at home.

By the time the home stretch is done, I think we will be at least 102 points. Which is pretty much better than anyone predicted at the start of the season.

Excellent performance against a ridiculous system. Outchanced/outworked/outpossessed them and deserved the win, even if fans here were whining about the entirety of the first 40 minutes.

- Carson Soucy is really good. What a stabilizing influence he was tonight. Huge addition.

- love Juulsen’s heart but in tight games like this mistakes get magnified and when we did struggle tonight most of it was with that pairing on the ice.

- Demko made one incredible save … but I’m struggling to remember another tough save off a Grade A chance tonight? Outside of 1 or 2 shifts this was a very solid defensive performance.

- Pettersson in the last 40 minutes was the best he looked in a month, scored a big-time goal in a big-time situation and hopefully this is the start of bigger/better things.

- thought Boeser was better than Miller tonight which doesn’t happen often, competed well and won puck battles. Encouraging performance.

- Mikheyev had a couple better shifts in the 3rd but he’s just a mess and simply can’t be on the top 2 lines. Crazy how mental this sport is - looked like a completely different player last year playing on 1 leg.

- Lindholm wasn’t ‘good’ but did skate and engage a bit better than previously.

- Garland/Blueger/Lafferty all did a ton of quality grunt work tonight. Podkolzin wasn’t bad again.

- Hughes was just terrific. His best game in a while.

Great win against the torpedo...LA can take that shit back to 95...You suck Hiller

Core was persistent and all of them played great. Miller looked a little frustrated and gassed a few times but wholly F is he just pulling this team into the uncharted. Boeser really steeped up in this one which was nice to see

The bottom 6 did a good job. Garland especially looked fired up. Podkolzin was strong and had a nice deflection that almost went in. Lindholm at least looked like he is a top player in moments but still needs to rise up.

Zadorov Soucy were impressive. Juulsen (except for a melt down shift) and Cole were solid safe and physical.

Mikhayev is almost unplayable. Skated a little better but pretty much couldn't link anything together and had a egregious lost puck at the blueline and a couple net fronts where he just cant get himself positioned properly or get a stick on it. Suter is too high in the order but is generally pretty safe and makes plays when not locked into puck battles where he gets overtaken. Hoglander was a bit sporadic but was creating and disrupting as he does....love the Hog

Games like these require patience and persistence....big win

He just seemed to totally lose it for a month or so and was skating in mud, healthy scratched a couple times … and then has flicked a switch in the last 4 or 5 games and looks back to early season form.

You wonder if he was carrying an injury? Or got a wake-up call? Or was just worn out and some games off and load management refreshed him?
