"We have to make bold reckless moves that swing for the fences if we want to be a contender because we have no farm system due to the last management group, who had a penchant for reckless trades that swung for the fences because they were in a poor spot to be a contender."I try and stay positive, but to be building your team with underachieving young kids hoping they turn into something....bro...
Im cool with taking a shot at a kid like Kravtsov but to assembling a bunch of these types is honestly idiotic.
That’s the only way to really get out a bind. When you are handcuffed with a couple crappy contracts , have limited assets , weak prospect pool , take a chance on low cost high reward players. I think it’s actually smart. Very risky no doubt, but only other option is to go full blown rebuild and trwde Pettersson Hughes Demko . That’s not an option so try this. They already have reclamation projects like Kravtsov and several of their own misfit young forwards. The reclamation thing is great if you have a lot of ice time to give them, so you can only do so many at once.

It’s nkt that we dont want him. It’s because he is the piece that has the most value at a position we don’t have a big need for. If we already had our defence slots filled and needed a top 6 forward ina big way , then Nemec would be available instead of Holtz. It has zero to do with Devils fans tryig to dump him. It’s us tryig to build a true contender and his is the most valuable piece to do so without creatimg a hole in the roster.Alexander Holtz since no one in Jersey apparently wants him.
Except he plays a position that the Canucks also don't need. It’s nkt that we dont want him. It’s because he is the piece that has the most value at a position we don’t have a big need for. Holtz plus plus for Demko .
Still has another year, Vancouver might feel like they can charm him with a great city, if not then he's dealt for a couple 1sts at the next trade deadline. He hasn't had issues here in terms of his play.Dubois would be amazing but he wants to play in MTL. Hes had issues with 2 clubs in a row.
They are in a hurry and don't have the patience to wait on draft picks. Potential reasons for that are:Why is their MO looking for highly drafted but underperforming players? Why not just look for players they like using their amateur scouts? Do they not have confidence and bank on the player having untapped potential?
Only if you trade us your next 1500 1st round pixDo we have the cap space for McDavid though?
You guys should sell everyone and rebuild then when those players turn 24 sell them and rebuild again. We really should be trading forwards not getting more of them.
Now we have two top 4 defenceman so still need two more if this management regime actually wants to be competitive soon.
She said drafted high…not drafted by someone who was highCasey "No Shoot" Mittelstadt
