JWilly was pretty solid tonight but I can't ignore all the slowfootedness and bad stick penalties. I wish he were playing more of a 3rd line role.

Nino-Aho-McGinn
Svech-Martinook-TT
Ferland-Wallmark-Williams

I feel like this is a better, more balanced top 9 configuration that what we're doing right now. And yes, I know, McGinn on the first line, but whatevs, Aho carries the play on that line anyway.

Is there any chance Willy doesn't resign? He's not ideal but he's pretty big leader. I'd love to keep him. I doubt he want to go on other team.

I'm perfectly fine with him playing, but I'd rather have him off of the first line and PP1 units.

I agree with the first part, but I have no issues with Williams on PP1. He's got a great shot, he's a good passer, he's more than decent along the boards, and his lack of speed and penchant for neutral zone turnovers don't really hurt as much. Plus, he's a right shot, which we have painfully few of up front.

PP1: Hamilton, Aho, TT, Nino, Williams
PP2: Faulk, Wallmark, Ferland, Svech, and one of Staal, McGinn or Slavin
