I think technically they're all like that? They don't get fired, they get relieved of coaching duties. It's only when they're hired by someone else that they're no longer an employee.

The thing is I don't know if Sullivan would be a great guy in the development area. But sure, put him as assistant deputy sheriff of hockey ops and stickintuitness.

We have a team with Sidney Crosby and a decent level of talent and missed the playoffs two years in a row.

Meanwhile an Islanders team who had like 16 loser points and a Caps who had a -37 goal differential got in.

It’s not hard to get into the NHL playoffs and we still failed. Any other org would have saw Sully out by now. It’s embarrassing.
