Unless he ages backwards along with the haircut, the old Olli Jokinen (which is actually the young OJ) is gone. He is just too slow now. Him and Heatley would make a fun skills competition. The fastest skater would be measured in hours.i think that ridiculous flow he's grown out is the problem
dude was bald his entire career until about a year ago and this season he's awful. i think once he shaves his head he'll start producing like the old olli jokinen
Draper had 3 Cup rings by this point in his career.
The fact Jokinen has no cups and Draper has 3 has nothing to do with either as a player..The worst team Draper played on was probably 10x better than the best team Jokinen has played on by a long shot.
With that said Jokinen doesnt have the same skillset to be a Kris Draper. Draper was elite at his role because of his speed, defensive IQ and his ability to win faceoffs. Not to mention he was a pretty clutch mother ****er.
The 2010-2011 Wings team was not ten times better than the current Preds team, certainly not by a long shot. The guy is just getting old. His effectiveness is gone.

Now that Peter Laviolette has ruined OJ's offensive game and made him a 4th line defensive grinder do you guys think he could become a modern day Kris Draper for Nashville Predators?
Olli has really improved defensively and is a +/- 0 despite only putting up 2 points. That's a huge improvement when you consider OJ is -138 for his career despite putting up over 700 Points. Could we see a Kris Draper kind of career for OJ with Nashville were he could win a couple of cups before retiring?
Annoying this is that Austin Watson could come up from Milwaukee right now and be ten-times the player that Jokinen is.
There are several players on the Ads who could come up right now and be better than Jokinen.
Watson, Sissons, Aberg, Leipsic, Salomaki. Even Clune.
OJ is one of the best defensive forwards now. It will be interesting to watch for sure.

Hey, OJ is clutch too! Olli has 13 overtime goals in his career, but Laviolette refuses to put OJ on the ice when it matters. It's pretty much only Jagr, Sundin and Ovechkin that has more career overtime goals...
