freddy has played on a much better team than price has for his 1st 3 seasons. lol
not sure if serious...
our defense has been a joke the last 3 years and our team defense is even worse.
Montreal had a lot more structure and better team defense than the leafs the past 3 years.
Goal support sure, but I'd have a tough time conceding the point that he's essentially a one-man defense in our zone.
i was referring to anaheim in case you didn't notice cuz you know, he played there before
was talking about anaheim, the team we got him from...
Sorry, read "last 3 seasons" not "1st 3 seasons."
oh no worries. wasn't the first one to make the mistake and definitely won't be the last one either.
Win records are silly.
And all it cost us was a little known prospect named Tuukka Rask. I wonder if that guy ever amounted to anything?
Wins record ? Probably.
Saves record ? OMG Yes.
Let's see how Price does with his anemic defense as MTL retools.
SV% will take a major hit.
Price must miss PK alot.
Now needs 9 wins in 20 projected starts
14 ROW wins to get rid of that shootout asterisk. The boys are rolling right now, I wouldn't call it out of the question.
Strive to thrive, lets go with 13 wins
What a great trade that was. And yes, I include it in that often maligned Kessel trade.
A lot of people crap on trades years later but I hated that Raycroft trade the second it was announced. Why did the Leafs need to trade for a mid 20's starter and sign for years AND decide between Pogge/Rask? There was no rush and no need. All they had to do was sign a cheap, veteran stop-gap starter (Legace) and wait for both to develop then decide later.
Well Boston wanted a goalie back so they had to give someone up.
But my point is why were the Leafs bothering to get Raycroft?
Now needs 9 wins in 19 projected starts
Now needs 7 wins in 17 projected starts
Prefer that Fred sets a Leaf record and ties an NHL. recored of 16 wins in one post season.
Now needs 6 wins in 16 projected starts
This thread made me think of the "Donut Lady" bit from Brian Regan.
This is the EXACT number of wins we need to guarantee a playoff spot!
Im more interested to see if he can get a 40 win season. When you look at the goalies that have done it hel be in some elite company. Henrik Lundqvist is considered one of the greatest goalies of all time and he’s never done it. Patrick Roy and Dominik Hasek have both only done it once.
