Finally was able start getting into Blackout properly in the last couple days, and I'm really, really enjoying it. I played Fortnite pretty heavily for a while ( I know, I know), so out of instinct I keep hopping around jumping anywhere I go
Its taken me a while to get used to the inventory menu and system but once you have it down, it's pretty much automatic.
I have 2 gripes about it so far. The first might just be a me thing, but I feel like weapons should be a little but more readily available. A few times dropping places like Factory, even Construction Site, and there would be instances where i'm quite literally running around for minutes trying to find a gun, and it's nothing but bandages or pistols. Again, it might just be a me thing and getting bad drop luck, but just something I noticed.
The second thing is the whole "hold to interact system". If theres one thing i'm willing to give Fortnite complete credit to, their looting system I've found is SO much smoother and quicker, and I hope Blackout adopts something similar at some point. Being able to just run over top things like bandages and ammo to collect, and just a tap to swap system I feel would work wonders in this game. This is especially apparent when you kill somebody and loot their bag. It'd be great if once you open it up, it just default gives you the ammo and bandages available, with a quick tap system to swap out items you need. My god does it ever take ages to loot somebody. Feel like it wouldn't leave you as exposed during fights in the open, or maybe i'm just salty that I've been killed a fair amount of times trying to loot up while being forced to stare at the bag menu. This all might have been available as a setting or something i'm not aware of, so maybe i'm just blind
Either way, really digging this game overall. First COD ive picked up in a couple years so am thoroughly enjoying boots on the ground, and dont mind the longer kill time either. Self healing takes getting used to.
