I think the kid could actually have a decent chance at making the U18 team. The kid is almost going PPG at the upper A-SM league and looks dominant against U17 and the A-SM
Hope so because that'd lock him to Finnish national team, but the pessimist in me keeps saying there's no chance theyll call up a ~15,25 year old to the u18s.

To say he’ll make team Finland is a safer bet. Competition for team Canada will be fierce at his age group.

Maybe as an underager, but with the skill he's shown so far, he would have a good chance to make Team Canada at some point.

That’s probably because you have no clue how the team is selected. They build a team with different components and its totally impossible to predict if a 15 yo will make team Canada. Marty Brodeur, Marc Giordano, Matt Duchene, Tyler Seguin, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins just to name a few didn’t make the team. On the year he was cut Nugent-Hopkings went from last cut at the world juniors to first overall at the NHL draft...

If the people responsible for developing these players have any sense, they'll invite him to U18 as soon as possible, just erase the thought of Canada right off the bat.

A little display of what he can do against older competition (link's video is from U17 4-nations tournament).

The way he skates with and without the puck and looking for an opening where to pass and where to be. He has a lot of poise with the puck and he can really keep it under control of the puck at high speed and cover it with great balance.

He has some abilities on his game that reminds me a bit of Puljujarvi, especially the way he skates with a powerfull strides, but he also gathers speed just moving his feet and can get to that top speed quite fast. He shuld find more economic to his skating, but that comes with time. Edgework is decent and improves as he becomes older. Atleast his work ethic and tenacity is there and hes eager to work with his flaws and overally get better as a player. Also has quite accurate release.

Pelicans and Finland has a real gem on their hand and in my mind theres no need to rush him to the U-18 just even if that would seal his position in Finnish nt.

If Lambert choose Canada he do big mistake. He cant play for Canada 2020 U18 Worlds but he will be 100% in Finland team. Finland U18 2020 Worlds TOP6 F is like:

Lambert - Räty - Simontaival
Niemi - Hirvonen - Järventie

Let's not start this again.. We'll just wait to see who he chooses, no point to keep speculating .
