The entire Sharks roster has regressed a bit since last year, he's getting shots + chances but just not converting.

From a neutral fan point, i can see why it stands out.

He's now at 0 in his last 27 games, and 2 in his last 49. What happened to his shot from the point?

On pace for 344 shots.

Lacking confidence in his shot, not getting any puck luck, and he hasn't been moving laterally the way he was when he was scoring a lot last year. He's kind of been figured out by enemy defenses.

Number one thing though is he is on pace for 344 shots.

Think of it this way. He has 84 shots on goal. He's on pace to put up another 260 in his next 62 games. If he shoots at his career shooting percentage (7.4%) and takes another 260 shots, he should still finish with about 20 goals. His shooting rate is still ridiculous; he's taking more shots than he did last year when he led the NHL in shots. You've got to think the floodgates will open soon.

Take Boedker and we'll consider it.
Whoa whoa whoa, now you've lost me. All our wings are taken up, by uhhh by that stationary hockey stick glued to the ice. You can always count that he will protect his zone.

In all seriousness though, Boedker gets 3.75 mil a year?

Is this the longest goalless drought of his career? One would have to think so. It is quite strange though still. I reckon once he finally scores his first the tap will open and he'll still hit 20 by the end of the year.

he had a couple years as an elite offensive defenceman , but he's on the wrong side of 30 , numbers will plummet with age and match his earlier career
