Then I would ultimately want at least one physically intimidating defenceman and two forwards who can and will throw down when needed, to protect the young studs.

Wonder what Ryan Reaves would cost in terms of a trade. He's 32 now, but could probably continue being a physically intimidating force for another 2-3 seasons.

I hate staged fights, but sometimes they can change the momentum in games.

Other decently skilled players with some sandpaper in their game: Wilson (yeah I know) and Ferland.

Are you happy with our tendies? Im not Hutton has proved why hes a career backup and Ullmark hasn't shown he can be a starter either.

Not really, but with a stronger team defence, our goalies will improve immensely.

Just look how horrible Price looked when Montreal played like crap and couldn't muster a holistic defence.

What are you exactly getting with the trade of Risto??? Or is it just a 1 for 1 trade?

Let's say Ristolainen for Larsson & 2nd. That seems fair and would benefit Buffalo immensely. A trusty defensively solid guy who can also mentor Dahlin, especially being Swedish.

Larsson has had a rough season after and with injuries - and have also heard that he has had a tough time after his father passed away in 2018.

He was apparently really well-liked in New Jersey, many of his teammates went iut on social media and said how sad they were that he was traded.

Same thing in Edmonton, even though some of the fans still view him in the light of the Hall trade, which was a very lop-sided trade.

Serious question - has this franchise ever in its history had an offseason in which nobody from outside the organization is brought into the 23 man roster?

The Sabres will have at least 3 new faces of varying degrees of importance, and there are plenty of scenarios where even that is an ultra-conservative change.

This is literally just what our current roster would likely be if all were healthy and played where they should be.

It’s nice to have pipe dreams but Cernak is more or less untouchable. It would take Reinhart, at minimum, and I’m not even sure that would do it.
