That’d be a great jersey. What number to you think Considerations wears?

Dude. You know I'm talking about the NHL roster.
Right, but it's an unrealistic expectation to trade Anders Bjork, an NHL-contract player no-one wanted for free when exposed to waivers to assign to the AHL, for an actual NHL talent who could help BUF at the NHL level. Especially when this Stillman nobody cost a 3rd rounder instead of future considerations.

Edit: Deadline hasn't arrived yet. You (we) may get your (our) wish still... (Stillman)

We saved this guy over Borgen and now he's gone for future considerations 😂 and Borgen is exactly what we need.

Because time is being spent on them at a prime time to improve the NHL club. These piddle deals could be done anytime of the year.

It's also possible this was done a while ago and they were just waiting for the deadline because it was known Chicago was going to be moving a number of NHL contracts so they would need bodies to play out the season. Bjork gets to be close to home as a Wisconsin lad, gets to try to show he belongs in the NHL somewhere, and gets 20-odd games of NHL pay while Chicago doesn't have to rupture their entire AHL team lineup to backfill the forwards they have traded.

Different positions. I forget the exact breakdown, but they had to protect a certain number of forwards and a certain number of D-men. They didn't really have that many forwards worth keeping though, hence Bjork. But if they didn't protect Bjork, they would have needed to protect a different forward, not Borgen.

They chose Ristolainen for one of the three D-men spots over Borgen. Which proved a good thing, given the trade return for Risto was insane and way more than what Borgen is worth.
