Put me in the camp of loving these forward additions

All of em.

And yes, our Bruins are better and tougher than they were going into the playoffs this season.

Maybe tougher, but better? Not so sure. All the signings seem to be redundant to me. Like maybe 2 of them would have been enough, but adding Foligno on top is just too much.

Biggest problem last year was the bottom 6 and it should be much better this year. The players aren’t flashy but they’ll make the team better and harder to play against.

I also think Debrusk will be traded now since there’s no room for him and I hope they can pick up a top 4 LD.

Ritchie, DeBrusk, Kuraly - all slugs (I'm being mean, I know)

Replaced with

Haula, Foligno, Nosek... All better.

These new guys are definitely better than anyone in the Bruins bottom 6 last spring except maybe Lazar.

I actually love this move. It’s only 2 years, kind of hard to stress about the price tag. Especially considering the toughness this team is missing without Miller.

What good was Ritchie’s brand of toughness when it was inconsistent?

Absolutely thrilled. Over the moon about what DS is doing with the forwards. Compete and finish.

I remember pushing hard multiple times for Foligno around here and getting instantly blown off that it’s a sure thing he’s going to MIN or Columbus. There are no sure things.

I don’t love the cap hit, but it’s 2 years and he’s a great player that’s going to bring sandpaper and be tough to play against. He will be a fan favorite. We got a bunch of guys who are going to be all about bringing home a championship for the next 2 years.

LD is a huge hole right now but Sweeney has done a terrific job so far.

Exactly this. I get the hate on the money for this, but after watching this teams bottom 6 get dominated in two back to back series losses, I'm not sure how people can be too upset.

They are full speed ahead until Bergeron retires. Every year is a “right now” year until then.

Overpaying for the right guys is what you do when the goal is the ultimate goal.
