Certainly not blaming Vladar for the score (and he's made a couple of nice saves) but the first wasn't a great period for the Bruins playing in this game.

Lauzon was decent but not getting ice time. Zboril essentially invisible but at least was not part of the Czech problem.

Myers & Lauzon are teammates on R-N. Who do you like better/project

Can't get over Myers did not get drafted

Myers looks like the Canadian Carlo.

Love Lauzon's heart but...Canadian Carlo is hard to bet against ATM.

A big Right handed deeman who played in the Memorial cup does not get drafted, WTF. Vladar made a few good saves near the end of the period, really wanted Gauthier last year big fast winger

Myers was undrafted but he signs with Philadelphia before his last season.

Before signing: 106 games, 2 goals, 10 assists, 12 points -4 in two seasons (16 and 17)

After signing for PHI: 82 games, 25 goals, 38 assists 63 points +61 (18 and this year)

In playoffs: 20 games, 4 goals, 12 assists, 16 points, +17 in the road to the Memorial Cup.

Vladar looked good from what I saw, only saw the 4th goal, which was kind of a softie, but he was seeing alot of action and made some amazing saves.

Flyers have accumulated/drafted a very nice crop of D the last several years. Some "no brainer" picks based on draft position but some good finds, too.

Would agree. The Czech team looked overwhelmed at times particularly in the first. The first goal saw all 3 Can forwards behind the D and strung out a few feet away from the goal line. Not much the keeper can do. Couple more goals came on the PP. He did make some terrific saves as the night wore on. Overall though he asserted himself well given the situation.

Believe he is the most intriguing keeper in the B"s system right now. Looks to have similar size and game that may be comparable to a guy like Renne.

It's worth mentioning that DeBrincat was cut from World Juniors today.

Yah

I don't think there's many Bruins fans who would trade Trent Frederic for DiBrincat after seeing the type of game Frederic has playing against often older players

Was not entirely sure where to post this and settled on here. Bruins may have to consider looking for prospects in the Middle East if this story is any indication. Peter Bondra brings an example of the development of the game internationally in the attached feature compliments of Sportsnet. Bondra shared his find, from of all places, the United Arab Emerates! Who knew?

It's almost like we have a penchant for overreacting in real time over here in the LF ;)

That closes the door for debrincat though right? Total dud. Bust. Wash up. Flame out. Can't even make a weaker US squad smh WORST HOCKEY PLAYER ON THE PLANET

;)

Brown and Debrincat cut, does that mean they are busts according to some

Comments from the Prohockey site indicating others are surprised with the decisions as well.

"In a head scratching move, the United States left Alex DeBrincat and Logan Brown off its world juniors roster today. NBC’s Jason Brough writes that Brown’s removal may be due to a lingering wrist injury. Regardless of that injury, Brown has racked up 21 points (8-13) in 15 games for the OHL’s Windsor Spitfires. [/B] DeBrincat’s omission is more of a mystery.[/B] The 19-year-old second round selection in 2016 has been torching the OHL as a member of the Erie Otters, notching 30 goals and 30 assists in just 28 games. Craig Custance wonders if being a right hand shot hurt his chances, but even that seems an odd reason to leave off the young scorer. DeBrincat leads the OHL in goals and is second in total points–behind teammate Taylor Raddysh–who is expected to be on the Canadian roster."
