Detroit - Thursday @Montreal Sat @Carolina
Pittsburgh - Friday Islanders Sat @Buffalo
Ottawa - Thursday @NYR Sat @Philadelphia
Boston - Tonight @Washington Thurs @Florida Sat @ Tampa Bay

The Bruins game on Saturday is the last game to start on Saturday so they will know what needs to be done. Hopefully our boys can win the next 2 and make Saturday meaningless.

Maybe not:

That is why I have kept the magic number at 5 - it is unlikely but it still exists as a possibility.

Now comes late word that if LAK is eliminated on Thursday which could happen our game on Saturday gets moved to 3 PM for NBC.

We should all big Huge NJ and Montreal fans tomorrow night

A habs win and tampa loss means Tampa Bay would have nothing to play for against us on Saturday and they would be locked into the A2 spot hopefully giving the Bs a better chance to win if they rest some guys

Well, at least the Bruins have the head-to-head tiebreaker against the Wings, Penguins and Islanders if it comes down to a tie in points and ROW. Still need to make-up ROW on all of them though...

If we wind up tying either of those teams in points, then it's highly likely we'll get a ROW - we're behind in points and ROW on all of them, and given our prior performances in shootouts, when we get two points, it usually comes with a ROW.

More importantly, the fact that we've won all those series means that there are teams in the playoffs that we are perfectly capable of beating. In fact, we even beat the Rangers head-to-head if you count all 3 games. All season long, we've been beating some good teams, but dropping turds against teams like the Canes, the Blue Jackets, and even the Sabres.

Fun fact: if the Bruins and the Sens each get at least 1 point out of their remaining games, it'll be a new NHL record for team with the most points...that doesn't make the playoffs. As stated on tonight's broadcast, 95 has been hit a couple of times, but never 96.

This team consistently finds new ways to give the fan base a heart attack then come good at the very end just to scrape through.

It is tiring, but you learn never to lose hope, or get over-excited for that matter.

Crazy that we can still clinch tonight. We've pissed away so many chances this season, they're so lucky to still even be in a position to make the playoffs.

Please just get it done. Last night was fun and all, but c'mon...

Question is IF they get in (not counting on it) can they show up 4 out of 7 games to win a series?

They looked like they quit in that third period last night.

If we don't play Washington (and maybe Montreal) I think that this team can do some damage in the playoffs IF we get in.

Only way that we can clinch tonight is if we win in Regulation or OT And Ottawa loses in regulation.

Bruins have to wish that the Rangers will be generous enough to beat Ottawa tonight...

I can understand the loss yesterday. Bruins were playing one of the best team in the conference, one that has their number, they were fighting for home ice in round 1 and have the best PP in the league. A win would have been a nice bonus. Disapointing game but it's over...

Let's look ahead instead:

The Bruins are still in control. With a win, they either clinch tonight with a NYR win or they keep the control for Saturday.

A loss tonight would be inexcusable and they would deserve to miss the playoffs. Just like the Kings now deserves to miss them after dropping the ball against the Oilers on Tuesday.

Get the job done and if either Ott or Det loses in regulation, then great.

Go B's!!!

So if Ottawa loses in regulation tonight and the bruins win, the bruins automatically clinch correct?
