DeBrincat scored nearly 30 as a rookie playing 12-13min a night with no PP time and a Lance Bouma and Tommy Wingels as linemates. Pasta played with Bergeron and Marchand...Cat will be a better player than Pasta...
You're back pedaling now. You said he's already a better player than Pastrnak (which is absolutely false) and now you're saying "will be"...

Which is it?

Also, you're likely wrong on both.

Two years ago he was a Badger, and had 33 points for WI. Last year 32. Not massively disappointing, but you'd like to see a college player get better in his second year. So far this year he has been quiet in the AHL.

Not seeing an upward trend, either on the stats sheet, or when I watched him last year.

That team lost a lot of good players. They went from 12-8 to 8-13 and second last place in the Big 10. Then he joined Providence at year-end and had 8 points in 13 games.

Your point was that he regressed since the draft but that's just insane. Exactly two years ago he was just about to play his very first game at Wisconsin and had 4 goals at the US National Under-18 team the year before. He went onto have 15 and 17 goals at Wisconsin. So you really liked him before he played a game at Wisconsin, but not now? Suuuuuuuure.

Would St. Louis move Brayden Schenn? He'd be a good fit, and they are off to a 'slow' start after a few games. We could start with Torey Krug & Danton Heinen?

STL has been working for like a decade to get good center depth. Longer maybe? I don't think thats a tree to bark up.

They'll never win a cup with those centres.

You can never win a Stanley with Bergeron and Krejci as your 1-2 Centres.

Alex DeBrincat is easily better than Pastrnak. And don’t get me going about Kane vs. Marchand. Toews vs. Bergeron is tie, last 5 years or so.

Hawks have easily better duo.

TIL one 28 goal season and 52 pts is better than a 34 and 35 goal seasons with 70 and 80 pts.
That damn corn has you guys all mixed up

Migi, you're one of my fav posters on the Hawks board - but no..

Bergeron>Toews (more selkes, and high point production the past 5 years)

Pastrnak>Debrincat (just a no brainer, Pastrnak is a more complete offensive player, Debrincat is younger however)

Marchand and Kane is a tie, Marchand is miles better defensively, but Kane is a better line-driver.

Someone is still living in 2010, welcome to 2018 buddy.

Didn't one of those duos make the playoffs last year and the other didn't?

Must've been the better one in the Hawks, right?

Didn't Marchand outscore Kane last year in 14 less games?

Didn't Pastrnak outscore Debrincat by almost 30 points?

Didn't Bergeron outscore Toews in less games?

Damn which country legalized crack yesterday?

Lol in fairness I don’t like this years version of Krejci either.

Bergeron somehow keeps getting better. No problems there. That he’s doing it without a training camp at all is impressive.

Krejci keeps looking more sleepy.

For 7+ million per, Dave should be able to pull two yokels out of the stands and at least bank one in off one of their noggins once a night.

Never listen to what a leaf fan says about cups bro..they have no clue what it looks like:laugh:

I mean.
If they're like 65 years old they can fondly remember that sweet cup when there was 6 teams in the league.
