His playoff coaching is demonstrably crap. Doesn't care about line matching, openly laughs about the fact that he doesn't like thinking as hard as the other coach, when his teams get countered he has no answers and turns red and starts going off at everyone from officials to players and needs Jason Arnott to calm him down and give him his bottle as his team collapses into a vortex of suck after seeing their coach get triggered and hysterical.

Maybe he's moved past that, but I'd never want him coaching a playoff game for the caps again.

haha because the caps have done so much better without him in the playoffs right?

The Capitals are prime example of why it isn't all Boudreau - the same players choke every year.

His time with the Caps (not counting the last year where he got fired) the Caps finished 2nd, 4th, 3rd and 12th in 5on5 possession metrics. %55.6, %54.9, %52.9 and %51.2.

The Montreal series they lost the Caps took over 70% of shot attempts.

He had it right those years and ran into hot goaltending.

Since then, he's coached bad possession teams pretty consistently.
