No. Quite possibly the worst rule the NHL has ever come up with. Worse than the trapezoid and the shootout. Made the dead puck era even worse than it was.

That would be like trying to bring New Coke back again. There's a reason this rule died. It sucked. Really badly.

Maybe we should let the D crosscheck and elbow the players in front of the goalies then.... just like the good old days!

Just use the international rule. Blow it dead as soon as a player enters the crease and take the faceoff in the neutral zone. It'll take the players a month to figure out they can't crash the crease anymore and after that a big portion of the goaltender interference nonsense goes away.

I'd rather have inconsistently called good rule than consistently called awful rule. More stoppages, reviews and breaking the flow is damaging the game. It would be perfectly doable to have games last ~2 hours, and that would be amazing.
