A genuine class act. One of my favorite Devils from the 2000s. Was easy to root for on his size alone, but his heart and hustle on top of that made him an immediate fan favorite. One of those guys that you wish could have stayed with the team for his whole career.

I was extremely happy he reached 1000 games two seasons ago. Congrats on a great career Gio! We'll always have a soft spot for you in NJ!
