“We definitely were able to change the culture, the attitude and the work ethic. Those was the positive. The negative, we wasn't good enough to get in (PO) so I think you take what we did well. We definitely get into a good start. We came to the training camp from Day 1. We were ready to compete and everyone to this locker room worked hard this year. When you start with those that's usually the chart to have success. Obviously, there's little things we gonna point up through this year that we could've differently. If he did that before we could probably still playing hockey until now... Which is disappointing. Like we said last year you've a season where you're not the ultimate champion, you take what you can from it. You learn, you tryna come back the next year doing better...”
“No I mean I like it personally (division). We are in the wrong side this year. Sometimes you gonna be on the right side.What it does it creates more competitive games. You can't say that the division games at the end were not fun. Then it was two wild spots to get in. I think it's fair oppurtunity. The east was a lot stronger this year, generally speaking usually 96 pts is enough. That's what we ended up and it didn't getted in. But that's just the way it goes. I remember a couple of years ago the West was way stronger than the East. Those back and fourth we know what to do. We control our destiny until the last couple of games there. We had a chance. Just a matter like I say taking the good, there's a lot of good from our group. Correcting the mistakes we made to be better next year.”

Nice bounce back season for Gallagher.
Was able to stay healthy and play a full season (76 games) for the first time since 2018-19. Also his best season for points (29) since 2019-20. Hopefully he can chip in 30+ points for the remaining 3 years on his contract as a bottom 6 role player

Gallagher has 4 more points than Kotkaniemi in 2 less games. LOL
Okay season from him. We can live with him. What’s tough is to have 3 veteran RW overpaid with him , Armia and Anderson.

Looking at the buyout penalty, it’s just easier to retain half on Anderson for the 3 remaining years and ship him off for anything. He’s a detriment to the team.

I don't consider Armia to be that much overpaid to be honest, at least not in a way that is really hurtful. And his contract is up next year so it doesn't matter that much. Anderson though..... ouch

I was very critical of Gally, however after hearing the news that his mom has been battling brain cancer I can't imagine how difficult things must be for him (article in case anyone hasn't seen: Canadiens' Gallagher inspired by mother's courageous fight against brain cancer).
Despite going through this, it seems like he's still very positive and always joking around with younger guys on the team like Slaf and been a positive influence in the dressing room.
He still works his ass off each night and will end up with 30 points despite dealing with these personal issues, reduced ice time and playing mainly in the bottom six with not much offensive talent.
Nice to see veterans like Armia, Evans and Gallagher being good role models this year for the young guys by leading through example, compared to Anderson who has been pathetic.

First half of the year for him was really tough to watch, to me it just didn't look like he could keep up out there but this last stretch has been really nice to see. He's easy to root for because he brings it every shift and is clearly liked in the locker room.

Ever since his minutes have been reduced he's been much better.
In his last 24 games he's been playing closer to only 13 minutes and has got 7 goals and 13 points while only being -2.
