Well, this gives room for Caufield and for KK. I don’t like it but it will allow the younger guys to get more ice time and we should have Gally for the playoffs.

If we bring in a player and gally is still on LTIR, we don’t have to worry about being cap compliant for the playoffs, right? Gally can comeback and we don’t need to remove a roster player because of cap implications? If that is correct then there was no better time for this to happen.

Ouch, I was hoping he could be back by the start of the playoffs. Minimum 6 weeks is brutal for the habs.

If you think back to his last playoff game, thats the kind of player you need in the playoffs.

NHL is still annoucing:
End of regular season May 8.
Start of playoffs May 11.
(makes no sense)

Since the Habs covid period we now have a Edmonton regular season-end game on May 11. Especially with Vancouver being sidelined until late next week, expect NHL to go even later than May 11 to finish up the regular season.(unless pts/% rule added)

That said Gally is out for 6 weeks. So at minimum he will be back around May 19. One could guess playoffs will start from May 11 to May 20(?)

It will be tight, he most likely misses some games in round 1 or close to all if we get swept.
