Well credit where credits is due, Ak Bars probably has the best-functioning system regarding the minors.

Sochi basically takes all the players somebody else doesn't need - be it SKA, CSKA, Ak Bars or Loko, they will take them. I think it should be considered as their transfer policy at this point rather than something illegal.
ok forget sochi, how about spartak.

which is another example of something completely illegal going on in any normal aspect and sense of competition
First of all it's not illegal. For something to be illegal it has to be prohibited. They play by the rules. If you don't like the rules try changing the rules, but until then it's legal. Anyway you could easily apply your logic to Chicago getting Saad back. Was that illegal?

But most importantly if it's helping the young playets develop and get playing time I am all for it. I have no idea why we should copy the NHL in every aspect. It's silly. The situations AND goals are completely different. All the NHL is about is making money. And they are good at it at least short term.

What kind of competition do you suggest? Even in the socialist SU the teams were not given the same resources. There will never be a league with 20 teams competing for the cup. The NHL isn't too btw. The only negative difference is that there os far less change among contenders in the KHL, but look at Avto. If more teams will get some finance secured we will have more Avto-breakouts. That is a legit goal.

you convolute valid points with falty statements, I have no argument here, it's just silly to argue white lies. When loans are prohibited, and players are fake-traded and everyone knows it's a loan, and no-one closes this loop hole - it's illegal and unfair. When you limit a number of players a team can carry and enforce this, when you make a hard cap and enforce this, when you stop favorable referring and enforce this, etc. etc. etc. you start having a more level competitive field. NHL has been around for a millennium - that is NO short term. NHL has cycles - where even GREAT franchises such as monreal, edmonton, pittsburgh, boston, toronto are NOT making the play offs. NHL has constant changes and it's favorites. You just can't compare KHL to NHL.

Daniil Ilyin is on pace for 30 points. Probably the most under-the-radar breakthrough player in the league, also production-wise the best one. Zernov whom we mentioned a couple of times is on pace for barely 23.

Also, the guy whom I personally basically have written off, Nikita Mikhailis, has 10 points in last 9 games and is putting any doubts if he is going to have a KHL career to rest. He reminded me of Roberts Bukarts so much I thought he will end up having the same career - a proficient scorer at a lower level never quite good enough for KHL. It's great to see upper tier Kazakh prospect finally make it.

23 points on the season already and with Bochenski being injured his production should be pretty steady.

Yes, he is everything I kinda expected Parfeyevets from Minsk to be - a miniscule player that just gets on scoresheet wherever he plays.

It’s been awhile for sure. Starchenko is currently the bar setter for Kazakh KHLers. Mikhailis can definitely pass him.

Ilya Konovalov has started 10 games in a row and has firmly stapled Salak to the bench. .932 Sv%.

An unlikely breakout player to say the least but Yegor Milovzorov has 19 in 22 games after the trade to Sibir.

Grigorenko had his first great pro season. Hope he produces as much or more.

I wonder if an NHL team or two would be interested. Also I wonder if Grigs wants another shot at the NHL. Those numbers are pretty nice and a big center with skill is always welcome.

Yeah, it's kind of tough to tell. I got no info on his current contract but sure some NHL teams could have some interest.
We don't know if his production could translate to the NHL, but he sure learned some looking at this last season.
There are always KHL players bound to come to america who never came here . Grigorenko played junior, AHL and NHL in america. He probably will be back in the right setting.
