If they want him to replace Clune on the Marlies then sure. Not for the Leafs though

What's the odds he would play well enough to flip at the deadline for a pick?

Probably not very likely, imo.

Should help push some of the kids to earn a job.

Can't see him earning a spot over all the other depth there is.

Love it. I hope he gets a real chance and earns his spot... he's still got years left in him, and only a few years ago was a real addition to any bottom 6

What a troll tweet by mirtle.

The leafs won't have jvr/michalek/komarov/matthews for the majority of camp.

They need camp bodies, and he'll be behind a few waiver eligble guys.

They signed fraser last year and everyone lost their ****.

How is it a troll tweet?

It's new information that I'm glad he's passed on.

Leafs need Veteran bodies for Training Camp. We are missing quite a few due to the World Cup.

"The pursuit of toughness continues."

I doubt he says that last year with fraser signing a pto.

I don't feel trolled by reading that. Plus he isn't wrong, this summer it's been pretty visible that the Leafs have wanted to add toughness.

Martin, Polak, Prust in free agency, and the draft. Mirtle ain't wrong.

Kinda fits the system with Polak, Martin, Komarov, and then Prust. Some tough bodies to protect the young guys. His penalty kill was great with the habs, so I'd be ok with this if they had him for a year or two.

Meh I can live with a PTO.

It will be almost impossible for him to make the Leafs out of the gate though barring some massive disappoints or some trades from now until training camp. He will need to go to the Marlies and make his way up somehow.

Prust has close to no chance in my opinion.

Some guy told me last week on FB that the leafs approached Prust about a PTO.

Toronto is your best spot for a PTO as a player.. You'll have the most eyes on you here. He most likely gets cut and picked up somewhere else.
