Too many good skaters, not enough guys who play the heavy game.

8 minutes of penalties will do that to any team. It wasn't all Boston.

He always preaches against retaliation ...
We don’t have a tough team at all ..

Yet we seem to be penalized all the time and don’t draw them !

Maybe players who are scared to get body position and risk getting hit draw less hooking and holding penalties.

A lot of the Leaf forwards opt to chip the puck rather than shield it with their body. Leafs were dead last last year so there is definitely a reason.
