It doesn't surprise me to hear that he's started slow. He's always been kind of streaky. I'm sure he'll round into for soon.

Samuel Montembeault has looked really good and should be looking to get out of town ASAP with Bob and Knight there. Why sign a goalie for 7 years then use a 1st round draft pick on another? Especially when you had another guy in the system looking to be ready to make the jump to atleast backup.

Lol. Knight is 3-4 years away at the very least. Worry about it when/if it becomes an issue.

Ok well, they didn't keep that roster, so I guess it just is what it is now. Winning a round in the playoffs doesn't make you a contender. St. Louis won that game, Columbus didn't - there's your difference.
The entire point of the post you quoted is that they would have been a contender had they not lost half their roster. Nobody is saying Columbus is a contender without Bob, Panarin, Duchene, and Dzingel.

He kept us in the game for the entirety of the first 2 periods, he let in 2 softies but stopped 3-4 that would have been sure goals last year.

Stop scoresheet analysts, his stats will start to back up the way he's played so far, not even worried.

Seriously, what's up with Bob?

5 goals on 19 shots tonight...
TBH Bobrovsky actually played really good. Was a weird game where nothing was getting through except for A+ scoring chances.

(Well Rittich allowed one real stinker 5-hole but that's a different thread LOL)

That's the story of the season for him so far. He's not playing bad and yet you look at the stats and vomit.

Coach Q has a lot of work to do stabilizing this Panthers team, and more importantly, the culture. If you don't believe you're going to shut teams down, then it sure as hell won't happen.

The flames honestly could’ve had 8-9 goals tonight. I didn’t really believe it until tonight, but the panthers defense really crumbled at times. Bob was good despite the stats.

Bob will be fine. The stats look gross and while he hasn't been perfect, he has been fine for the most of it. The stats will normalize also with time. But what in the hell is up with panthers team defense?

Yeah you guys made our D look stupid. Not that it’s hard but now you understand why we don’t blame Bob

If your defense isn’t good enough to support your goaltender and to compete, you shouldn’t be overspending on a goaltender.

It's been a mess for years, but it's getting better under Q. Tonight was a bit of an outlier, plus 2 fluke goals that went in off Ekblad. Also, Matheson is out right now, a top 4 D....plus Yandle and Brown are no better than pylons at this point, they are a gift to the opposition every time they are on the ice. Things will solidify, it'll just take a little time.

He sucks, every game it is a new excuse why he is letting in goals at record pace. Every game it's like oh he has been so good but still let in 5 goals on 20 shots, none his fault all on the defense, totally unstoppable.
Really guys look at the worst goalies in the league, they look similar.
Look at Montebaults play and stats, somehow he is keeping the pucks out of the goal. Still I'm assuming Bobrovsky will play like 60 plus games. Btw. what is the worst savepercentage for a goalie with 60 plus games in a single season? Maybe Bob could aim for that.
