This is a very frustrating season. When this team is good, it is great. But when it's bad, it is awful.

We can point to spotty goaltending, defense that is not exactly impenetrable, an attack that too often plays for the perfect shot at the expense of decent to good ones, and lack of speed, but my biggest fear is that we have assembled a collection of players who lack cohesiveness. If so, there is no cure for that. A coaching change won't help. It has to come from the players and a few of them asserting themselves as leaders.

Watching the game right now and this could very easily be a 5-3 Blues lead over one of the best teams in the league with 10 mins left in the 3rd. Raanta playing out of his mind and the Blues not burying chances. Not a perfect game by any means, but this was so much closer than a 7-2 final score.

I get that we haven't been playing great lately, but some of the doom and gloom around here is so over the top it's comical.

ooooh I love Freddy's. Overpriced, yes, but they pack a ton of flavor in that smashed up burger.

isnt it funny how this teams main issue is lack of fight/consistent 60 minute effort

yet every game they played infront of chucky sideburns, that was not the case. in fact, Bortuzzo RAVED about playing hard infront of him because hes such a good teammate to play hard for.

if the blues miss the playoffs, the way they handled chucky sideburns will be the turning point. the team has not looked the same since they decided to start Binner before the last game before Xmas break.

Not to say you're wrong, but if the team intentionally plays worse in front of Binnington, then the Blues are in need of a major overhaul. If that major overhaul includes only a couple key players, then so be it.

But this is assuming that the team intentionally plays differently in front of particular goalies.

Right after i posted “yuck”, I learned that the drummer died. That’s sad and I still don’t like them.
