Let's say Boumeester is done for season. What would you want for Tofolli and Martinez
In all honesty, I think Blake sells both individually to get the highest return possible.
The ask for Marty according to Craig Custance(The Athletic) is expected to be 2 - 2nds and a prospect ... and that was before the recent top 4 Dman injuries..
With that said, Its safe to assume Blake would "start" with wanting a 1st, Kyrou +.... Hell, If Jay and Vlad stay on the IR until the POs you guys would be f***en stacked... At least I would have you guys as the favorites..

Yea I figured the ask for both would be pretty high. Well most likely stick with internal options for Boumeester and add a depth piece. Though I'd be surprised if Army doesnt check on TT

Also, seeing how Kucherov is out along with McDonagh.. TBL will be serious contenders at the TDL

I don't think Army gets forced into making a panic move, Mikkola proved good enough to play, and Faulk and Dunn have both done well in expanded roles. Berube now just needs to figure out his pairs.

That being said, I think Army will still do his due diligence just like he will on forwards.
Respectfully, I am not as confident as to the bolded as you seem to be. I agree, however, that there is no need to make a move. Gunnarsson's continued health is now probably the biggest concern regarding our defense.

I'm not saying they've been amazing, as it takes them being with Pietrangelo to look good, and almost anyone can look good when playing with Petro. The tough part we will have is how Berube handles the pairs now that there isn't an obvious shutdown pair like the Bouwmeester/Parayko pairing.

Yeah but that’s completely ridiculous to attribute our success to a simple song.

Now Del Zotto on the other hand... wow. Talk about a hugely impactful player.
Eh. He’s no Thorburn.

(In truth, I do think those guys that are practicing as scratches the whole post-season contribute something valuable to the team. That includes Allen most of all.)

After watching our dismal PK tonight, I wouldn't mind adding a cheap, veteran LD. I would like a PK specialist in particular. Anyone know of such a player that may be available?

I like Mikkola too, but is he ready to replace JBo's minutes on the PK?
Mikkola has 0:54 A/TOI/PK, but he didn't play vs. Sharks or Philly any PK. against Rangers Mikkola record 2:29 PK.

Mikkola has played last 3-4 season over 23:00 ATOI/GP AHL + finnish league. I believe fully he can manage ~18:00-20:00 ATOI/GP at NHL level or even more.

Now we've to wait when Chief release him. Hopefully soon, 'cus time is ticking if Mikkola isn't answer.

Yeah now is the time for Mikkola. Throw him into the deep end ASAP, and see what he can do. Bc if he can’t carry the defensive load, then we need to know that so we can find another solution (Borgman being another possibility). But before he got sent down, just about everybody was raving about his game, so I don’t see why things should be different enough that we need to make a trade just a few short weeks later. Mikkola is the guy, and we’ve been hoping he would take over Bo or Gunnar’s job next year anyways. There’s no time like the present, given the circumstances

The Blues have 6 games between now and the TDL. We are also now in the timeframe of when Army mentioned he was going to sit down with Tarasenko, et. all to see how he is progressing and what the timeline of his return is realistically shaping up to be. The Bouwmeester calamity certainly adds a new wrinkle to things. Personally, I agree with the above sentiment of tossing Mikkola in and seeing what you've got over this next stretch of games. Depending on how the team feels about the LHD situation and Tarasenko's prognosis maybe check-in with LA about Martinez and Toffoli. I was all aboard adding some top/middle 6 help at the TDL, but they may now have to pivot for help on the backend.

Big NO on Martinez. All stats say he isn't good and he is signed beyond this year.
One stop shop in LA with Toffoli and Martinez. 50% retention on Martinez.

I'd send a 2020 1st and 2021 2nd for both.
EDIT: Make it a 2020 2nd since Buffalo owns 2021 2nd.
