Well….

…. As I age I’ve noticed myself only listening to the same bands/songs over and over. Which I told my mom would never happen yet here we are.

It was the top thread. I like metal so I opened it. I clicked play on a lot of videos to see if I could enjoy something new to me. Turns out my mom was right.

Also who f***ing cares who goes into what threads? I’ve never played Pokémon, watched my little pony or have done porn. Yet I’ve been in those types of threads before. Some more than others.

Extreme metal can be trying on your patience as there is layers and layers of shit in the genre. Bad music clogs all genres but the shit in extreme metal is excruciating. Painful going to a Cradle of Filth show in '99 and sitting though a never ending barrage of shitty local death metal bands.

That said, when it's a hit, it's great. Ulver's Nattens Madrigal is a Top Ten metal record for me. Love some of the earlier bands like Mercyful Fate and Bathory. Cannot go wrong with Immortal and Abbath.

Two channels on YouTube I would recommend if you enjoy metal of all kinds: Heavy Metallurgy and Chromium Dioxide Radio.
