It’s actually weird to me that all young players aren’t taught to play on their off wing. There is so many advantages in terms of shot angle and one timers. Also good for taking passes off the boards from the D. Only disadvantage is taking breakout passes on the backhand but that can be taught.

This. Learning this from an early age would give them a bit of versatility, and potentially open up opportunities during their development.

Panarin is a RHS who plays LW, helps him do that pull up move at the blueline and pass accross to a streaking winger or trailing d-man that he does like 10 times per game.

Kane is the opposite, left shot on RW

FYI, Giroux will almost certainly be playing RW on the Sens since they have Tkachuk and DeBrincat at LW.

Also, didn't Ovechkin make the end of season All-Star Team as both an LW and RW in the same season a while ago?

Artemi Panarin is a RH LW.

Nikita Kucherov is a LH RW.

Alex Ovechkin is a RH LW.

You notice the trend? In Russia it is typical for wingers to play on their one-timer side.
Kaprizov also plays the off wing quite often.
