What players in the NHL exhibit the highest levels of compete? Typically great forecheckers, win puck battles, draw penalties through their hard work, dogged determined puck pursuit, grit grapple grind types that make the most of their ice time in every zone.

I like Cirelli from TBay, Garland from AZ, Tanev in WPG, Rodrigues in BUF and maybe Larkin, Arvidsson, Hertl, Zuccarello, and ROR as some top end guys who are always putting in work.

Who else likes to f***in give'r?

For San Jose it’s Evander Kane. Hertl has transitioned to being the F3 on his line and is excelling with Kane as the F1. Timo Meier also applies but Kane does this a bit more consistently than him.
