A lot of Rangers fans who watched both eras will want to say Richter, but it's Lundqvist. Richter had some phenomenal moments with the Rangers, but just wasn't the same tier of goalie.

Can't see how this is even a debate. Lundqvist is one of the better goalies of the last 25 years.

Could go CuJo or Liut with STL.

I personally would go CuJo but have no problem with Liut.

Matter of opinions of course, but I just dont see how Thomas is better than Rask. Longevity and stats also proves me quite right. Thomas was a phenomenal goalie, but not that long I'd say.

Rask 411 Thomas 379 GP
Rask 209 Thomas 196 W's
Rask .922 Thomas .921 SV%
Rask 2.26 Thomas 2.48 GAA
Rask 39 Thomas 31 SO
Rask 884 Thomas 899 GA

Thomas have 2 vez's and Jennings I know, but Rask also have Vezina, 2 time most shotouts in the league and once best sv% too.
Like I said Thomas was a true champ, but Rask is allready IMO and still going strong.

But it's a matter of opinion and I respect every single one of them

I prefer Lalime than Anderson and not saying Anderson is bad or anything :)

CuJo could def be over Potvin I admit. McLean is just my all time fav :D

I'd take Khabibulan over Bryz for Jets/Coyotes
Kari Lehtonen for Jets/Thrashers maybe?
Timmy Thomas for Bruins (his peak was too dominant). Fan favourite vote to Andy Moog.
You could argue Belfour for a few franchises
Definitely Cujo for Leafs and Blues

Thomas has definitely been the best goalie for the Bruins since 1967. Not only 2 Vezinas to one Vezina for Rask, but how dominate he was in his vezina season. Add to that 2 first team all-stars and a Conn Smythe.

Lalime was awful in the big games. Had some real stinkers in the playoffs. Anderson on the other hand shines in the big games.

It's not really a debate, but Richter gets tons of credit for the cup. Not that he doesn't deserve it, but that team was also stacked. I loved Richter growing up, but its not close. But there are a lot of fans who will make the argument.

As others have said, I'd go Belfour over Turco, CuJo over Potvin, Luongo over McLean, Anderson over Lalime, Thomas over Rask and not mentioned so far, but Parent over Hextall for sure.

I think there's also a case for Barrasso over Fleury, Liut over Ward, Joseph over Liut, Lehtonen over Pavelec, and Bishop over Khabibulin.

Coyotes/Jets is an interesting one. I don't think any of Smith, Bryzgalov, Burke, Khabibulin or Essensa would be wrong really.

Essensa would be wrong. He started hot but really didn't have a great career outside of the first 3 or 4 seasons.

But by the same token, none of the other guys were good for very long there or even played for long either. He had 4 solid seasons, including one very good one, and he's only one game behind Smith for most in franchise history. It's a pretty similar resume to the other guys.

I understand that, but given his quick fall off to backup goalie status, I think it has to be someone with a few more good years, not just games played. By the end of his Winnipeg run he shouldn't have been starting often. He just wasn't that good, his rookie year has people remembering him far more fondly than he should. I'd say that Bryzgalov, Smith and Khabiboulin all have to be considered better because they were simply better goalies during their time with the franchise. More wins per season typically, and better at keeping pucks out of the net - even though they were awful a lot under Smith and Bryzgalov. 3 of the 4 should have been considered top 10 goalies for much of their time with the franchise - Essensa maybe had one year where you could argue that.
